Sreedevi, C., Hafeez, M., Kumar, P.A. et al. 2012. PCR test for detecting Taenia solium cysticercosis in pig carcasses.

  • Two PCR assays were developed to detect Taenia solium in pigs. The targeted genes were TBR (large subunit rRNA) and Cox1. Cox1 was 10 times more sensitive. Selectivity was not measured. Results were read on an agarose gel.
