- Check with Eric and Jess if any microbiology media needs to be made.
- If so, make media before 10am so that it can be autoclaved in the morning by Nicole. The process takes about an hour. Media cannot sit overnight before autoclaving.
- Media recipes can be found on the lab wiki.
- Cover prepared media loosely with a cap so that steam can enter the flask/bottle. Label prepared media with a piece of autoclave tape that has the lab initials (MEE), your initials, date, and media content written on it (e.g. MEE AP TSB Media 04/27/22).
- Also, put a small tag of autoclave tape on the bottle — autoclave tape is in the first drawer beneath the small water bath, next to the sink.
- Place bottle in the to-be autoclaved area
